CODAS software is designed to run on many platforms. Executables are written in C, and scripts run in Python and Matlab. We are slowly transitioning parts of the Matlab code to Python.
Installing CODAS used to be a matter of installing Python and Matlab, and extracting a bunch of zip files (with the CODAS programs, documentation, and demos). That mechanism will work for some time to come, but due to the number of different operating systems and Python versions, we have a new scheme that is more flexible. Both are documented below.
This is what we recommend, and where we are going:
Installing CODAS using Mercurial
This code base is more limited but still functional for many datasets:
Installing the Stable, Basic Python+Matlab CODAS Software
Please let us know (hummon@hawaii.edu) if you are installing CODAS programs and want to be informed if there are updates or bug fixes.
