 Data Current Meter Data

The Current Meter Data Assembly Center (CMDAC) has assembled a uniformly-processed, high-quality set of WOCE current meter records. All of the records have been examined and brought up to a single, uniform standard. In practice this means that unrealistic spikes were removed and runs of clearly bad data, due to instrument malfunctions, were excised.

The DVD contains both the original current meter records, as supplied by the PI, and modified versions in cases that required clean-up. Data that have been modified by CMDAC are flagged and brief comments describing the changes can be called up.

CMDAC also had responsibility for passing the WOCE current meter records to the national archive, the US National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). These data were made available to NODC as soon as they came into the public domain.
