PACKAGE DESCRIPTION: This dataset includes discrete profile measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, chlorofluorocarbons (CFC-11, CFC-12, CFC113), temperature, salinity, oxygen, nutrients and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) collected during the R/V Mirai SOCCOM cruise MR16-09, GO-SHIP_P17E (EXPOCODE 49NZ20170208) in the South Pacific Ocean from 2017-02-08 to 2017-03-05. This cruise was a part of the Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations and Modeling project (SOCCOM) Cruises.

Detailed sampling and analyzing information: | Measurement of TCARBN was made with two total CO2 measuring systems (called as Systems C and D, respectively; Nippon ANS, Inc.), which were slightly different from each other. The systems comprised of a seawater dispensing system, a CO2 extraction system and a coulometer. In this cruise, we used coulometers, Seacat2000 and Model23000 for Systems C and D, respectively, both of which were constructed by Nippon ANS. |

In addition, we measured AT based on potentiometry and constructed by Kimoto Electronic Co. Ltd. Both the methods are not yet fixed. Therefore we just show vertical distributions of AT measured by spectrophotometry. |
