INVESTIGATORS:
Nathalie Lefèvre - Sorbonne University (SU)
Denis Diverrès - French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD)

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION: This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected from MN Colibri in the English Channel and North Atlantic Ocean in 2016. These data include barometric pressure, partial pressure of carbon dioxide - atmosphere, partial pressure of carbon dioxide - water, sea surface salinity and temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include Carbon dioxide (CO2) gas analyzer. These data were collected by Denis Diverrès of French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Nathalie Lefèvre of Universite Pierre et Marie Curie; Institut Pierre Simon Laplace; Laboratoire D'Oceanographie et du Climat: Experimentations et Approches Numeriques as part of the VOS_Colibri_Line_2016 data set.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The CO2 analyser was designed and built by Craig Neil. It is fully automated. On MN Colibri, it is located in the ship's bow thruster space. A Seabird SBE21 thermosalinograph is installed on the same sea water inlet piping. An air inlet is placed on top of the bridge. It allows atmospheric CO2 measurements in conjunction with surface water CO2 observations.
