PACKAGE DESCRIPTION: This dataset includes discrete profile data collected during the USCCG Healy cruise HLY1502 (EXPOCODE 33HQ20150809) in the Arctic Ocean, Beaufort Sea and Bering Sea from 2015-08-09 to 2015-10-13. These data include dissolved inorganic carbon, pH, total alkalinity, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, chlorofluorocarbons (CFC-11, CFC-12, CFC113), pH on seawater scale, measured at 25 deg.C, methane (CH4), carbon 13 (C13) and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6). The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.

Replicate information: |
1-3 replicates were drawn per station (usually 3) from the surface, bottom and O2 minimum depths. Due to water budget restrictions duplicates were not taken on GEOTRACES stations. Mean and standard deviation of duplicates was -0.21 +/- 2.77 (n=73). |
Standardization description: |
Injection of 2 pairs of sample loops of known volume of pure CO2 bracketing the expected values of TCO2 and analysis of Certified Reference Materials supplied by Dr. A Dickson of SIO. TCO2 values were corrected for the addition of mercuric chloride and for the offset from the CRM value. |

Two different systems were used, Cell A and Cell B. Accuracy +/- 2.43 μmol/kg for Cell A and +/- 2.28 μmol/kg for Cell B based on CRM measurments (batches 146). Precision +/- 1.8 μmol/kg for Cell A, +/- 2.13 μmol/kg for Cell B based on duplicate measurements. More details available in UM technical report. |
