PACKAGE DESCRIPTION: This dataset includes discrete sample and profile data collected from RYOFU MARU in the North Pacific Ocean and Philippine Sea from 2000-06-20 to 2000-07-31 and retrieved during cruise PACIFICA_49RY20000620 and RF00-06. These data include AMMONIUM (NH4), BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), Chlorophyll a, DELTA CARBON-13, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), DISSOLVED ORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PHAEOPHYTIN, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SIGMA-THETA, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), TOTAL PHOSPHORUS, WATER TEMPERATURE, nitrate + nitrite content (concentration), pH, phosphate and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, Coulometer for DIC measurement and bottle. These data were collected by Hitomi Kamiya of Japan Meteorological Agency as part of the PACIFICA_49RY20000620 data set. PACIFICA (PACIFic ocean Interior CArbon) was an international collaborative project for the data synthesis of ocean interior carbon and its related parameters in the Pacific Ocean. The North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES), Section of Carbon and Climate (S-CC) supported the project.
