PACKAGE DESCRIPTION: This dataset includes chemical, meteorological, physical and surface underway data collected from RYOFU MARU in the North Pacific Ocean and Philippine Sea from 1997-10-20 to 1999-07-12. These data include AIR TEMPERATURE, BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), SALINITY, SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WIND DIRECTION and WIND SPEED. The instruments used to collect these data include Autonomous sensor to measure dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC). These data were collected by Hisayuki Y. Inoue of Hokkaido University; Graduate School of Environmental Earth Science; Laboratory of Marine and Atmospheric Geochemistry and Masao Ishii of Meteorological Research Institute; Geochemical Research Department as part of the MRI Ryofu Maru III data set.
