Source: These data were submitted for archive to NCEI from the NOAA Center
for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR).

Actions: NCEI downloaded the data and SHA-384 fixity information files from
the NOAA Production Distribution and Access (PDA) service. The data files were
validated using accompanying SHA-384 fixity information. An archival
information package (NCEI Accession) was generated and the data files were
copied to the data/0-data/ directory. A sample browse graphic for the data was
copied to the about/ directory.

This directory contains files created by NCEI staff, including 'negotiable'
information between NCEI staff and the data provider.

  A GeoTIFF data file was converted to PNG format for use as a preview graphic.

  1. Instrument = Satellite instrument: SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar)
  2. ShortName = Parameter short name: Wind (Level-2 Sea Surface Winds)
  3. Polarization = The transmit and receive polarization: HH, VV, HV, VH
  4. Lat = 2-digit latitude value + (North or South), for example, "05N"
  5. Lon = 3-digit longitude value + (East or West), for example, "020E"
  6. Version = current is "v2r0"
  7. StartDateTime = Begin/Start date and time (yyyymmddHHMMSSt)
  8. EndDateTime = End date and time (yyyymmddHHMMSSt)
  9. CreateDateTime = File creation date and time (yyyymmddHHMMSSt)
  10. yyyymmddHHMMSSt:
       "yyyy" = 4-digit year
       "mm" = 2-digit month (01-12)
       "dd" = 2-digit day of the month (01-31)
       "HH" = hour (00-23)
       "MM" = minute (00-59)
       "SS" = second (00-59)
       "t" = tenths of a second (0-9)
