Source: The UCSD, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Coastal Observing
Research and Development Center (CORDC) provided the data files to NCEI
using an SFTP service.

Actions: An automated process downloaded the data files, validated
the data files, and copied the data files into the data/0-data/ directory of
this accession. The automated process also extracted various metadata from the
data files and created a station location map for the dataset.

This directory contains files generated by NCEI with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0302523_lonlat.txt -
  Contains station locations for these data. Each row contains the
  geographical position where these data were collected (longitude in the
  left column and latitude in the right column, both in degrees).

0302523_map.jpg -
  Station location map for these data.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the data files as submitted to NCEI. The file naming
conventions for these files are as follows:

rtv_<region>_<resolution>_uwls_YYYY_MM_DD_HHmm.asc

where rtv = real-time-velocities; <region> = abbreviation of region
from which data are collected (usegc = Eastern US and Gulf of Mexico,
prvi = Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands, uswc = US West Coast, ushi = US
Hawaii, gak = Gulf of Alaska and akns = North Slope Alaska);
<resolution> = data resolution (m = meters and km = kilometers);
uwls = unweighted least squares; YYYY_MM_DD_HHmm = numeric year,
month, day, hour and minute data collection started; and .asc = ASCII
file extension.
