Real-time XBT data collected by the NOAA Shipboard Environmental Data
Acquisition System (SEAS) are downloaded from the AOML FTP server by NCEI.

Actions: An automated process transferred the original data files to the
data/0-data/ directory of this accession. The automated process also extracted
longitude and latitude data from the data files and plotted a sample location
map.

This directory contains files created by NCEI staff and processing, including
'negotiable' information between NCEI staff and the data provider.

0300704_lonlat.txt -
  Station locations for these data.  Each row contains the geographical
  position of an XBT profile (longitude in the left column and latitude in
  the right column, both in degrees).

0300704_map.jpg -
  Station location map for these data.

SEAS2000_format.txt -
  Description of the Shipboard Environmental Data Acquisition System (SEAS)
  file format.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the data files as submitted to NCEI.

*.NDC -
  Data files in SEAS 2000 format as submitted by AOML.
