Hernán previously indicated to us that the license for the data sets should be CC BY 4.0. So to the question: Could you please confirm that we can change the license to CC BY 4.0 for all your datasets? Yes, you can change the license to CC BY 4.0. Unfortunately we already sent all the data sets, so the answer is YES for all of them. We will change the license in our metadata. Para: Cecoldo Asunto: Re: NCEI online publication confirmation of NCEI Accession 0290263 Hi Ruby, the following issue was brought to my attention by NCEI Archive officers >By the way, these data came with a Licencia Creative Commons Reconocimiento-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 4.0 (https://>creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/), AKA a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. >Two things: >1. We are not supposed to accept and archive data with the CC BY-NC-SA license, except that since the package was submitted via S2N, >the S2N User Agreement overrides the terms of the license. >2. We may want to work with the provider to have them agree to change the license to the CC BY 4.0 license instead. To be honest, I know/understand a little, if any, about licenses, but expect that this issue may be sensitive to your team, which is related to the Colombia Navy. Could you please confirm that we can change the license to CC BY 4.0 for all your datasets? For future submissions, I'd suggest avoiding inclusion of any information about licenses. In this case, the S2N assumes the CC BY 4.0 and everything goes smoothly.
