Real-time XBT data collected by the NOAA Shipboard Environmental Data
Acquisition System (SEAS) are downloaded from the AOML FTP server by NCEI.

Actions: An automated process transferred the original data files to the
data/0-data/ directory of this accession. The automated process also extracted
longitude and latitude data from the data files and plotted a sample location
map.
NCEI has determined that the call sign for the platform "Vienna Express" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the call sign as "5LMA3" whilst NCEI has determined the correct call sign is "dgwf2".

This directory contains files created by NCEI staff and processing, including
'negotiable' information between NCEI staff and the data provider.

0281415_lonlat.txt -
  Station locations for these data.  Each row contains the geographical
  position of an XBT profile (longitude in the left column and latitude in
  the right column, both in degrees).

  Station location map for these data.

SEAS2000_format.txt -
  Description of the Shipboard Environmental Data Acquisition System (SEAS)
  file format.
