contained BagIt tag files. In addition, they provided NCEI with MD5
checksums for these data and information files.

additional files or replace obsolete files. This version contains the most
complete and up-to-date representation of this archival information package.

After transferring the compressed tar file(s) and MD5 checksum file for
LMG0402_149319_gnss, LMG0402_149320_gnss, LMG0402_149323_gnss, and
LMG0402_149444_expendableprobe from LDEO, NCEI extracted these data and
information files from the compressed tar file(s) and then verified their
integrity by recalculating their MD5 checksums and comparing them against
those from LDEO. If NCEI was able to verify the integrity of the data and
information files, they removed the compressed tar file(s).

Some files were received in compressed format. These files were automatically
uncompressed.
