Shall I ignore the directory and files within? Jay On Tue, Jun 6, 2023 at 11:36 PM Anne Perring wrote: Hi Jay, I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this. Your email came right in the middle of finals for us and I'm finally catching up. As for the readme. Please see the attached. I believe this now contains the information a user would need in order to look at our data but I am not certain whether the readme is in an appropriate format. For the three files you flagged, I'm not sure why those are showing up with file names that look binary. They open with a text reader on my end so perhaps I need to send/upload them again. Also, in the process of writing the readme, I realized how confusing my non-systematic file naming was. So I have edited the file names to be more systematic. I attach two zip files here that contain an updated version of the dataset but let me know if I should submit them some other way. Finally, I attach an image of one of the graphs from this analysis which I would like to use as the thumbnail. Thank you so much for your help with this. Can you provide me with a Readme file that provides some background information on the data and describes the Elements and format of the data in the files you have submitted? Also, I will need a thumbnail image that we can put on the landing page that provides some depiction of the data. It can be most anything you choose. You can see examples of what I am referring to at - https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/metadata/landing-page/bin/iso?id=gov.noaa.nodc:0259492 , https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/metadata/landing-page/bin/iso?id=gov.noaa.nodc:0259491 , and https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/metadata/landing-page/bin/iso?id=gov.noaa.nodc:0254366 . Also, I need to ask about 4 files you sent that appear to be in binary format. Were these sent by accident? The filenames all have a ‘.’ at the beginning. We cannot archive these.
