Record of email conversation with submitter. Submitter agreed to a new title, confirmed removal of the mpk file and emailed a zipped copy of the shapefiles and revised metadata file. See below for details. ******* Thanks for the quick response, I'll move it to the next step in the process. I concur that the title you have proposed here is more informative and would like to proceed using that one. I have updated my metadata document to use that title and attached the new version here. I have attached the zipped shapefiles. Please go ahead and remove the .mpk file - the postdoc in my lab said he previously submitted spatial data to a repository as an .mpk so I figured I would upload multiple file types to cover my bases. If the zip file is NCEI's preferred format, by all means proceed with that file and delete the .mpk. Please let me know if you have any further questions pertaining to my data submission or if you need any other information. Thank you again for your assistance and have a great day! Emory Emory H. Dear Emory Wellman, I am performing the preliminary appraisal on your recent submission, LU5FCY, to NCEI via Send2NCEI (S2N). I have a few questions regarding your submissions. If your submissions are accepted for archive, this email and your response will be included in the Archival Information Package (AIP) to provide provenance for changes made to the original submissions. Generally speaking the data is well documented, thank you! However, I feel a revision to the title would help make the title more descriptive and therefore more findable. The title is currently, "Carrot Island Reef and Marsh Restoration". But we encourage the inclusion of the start and end dates in the title. I also think "Oyster" should be included as it is a main keyword for the study. My suggested update is "Carrot Island oyster reef and marsh restoration from 2018-05-11 to 2020-08-18". Please let me know if you would prefer to use this title, the current title, or another title of your own suggestion. Thank you for submitting both the mpk file and the zipped shapefiles. The zip file is the one we will archive. Could you please: Email me a copy of the zip file? Our system automatically unzips files upon receipt. This will ensure that the archived file is pristine from the submitter, rather than a zipped copy created by NCEI. Confirm that we should remove the mpk file from the archive package? Cheers, Steve
