Unfortunately, this site has had two different naming conventions, and both names have been used since the late 1990s, so they just never decided on using ONE consistent name. "Kaa" (which stands for Ka‘alaea) is the more accurate name for the site, but the site is also offshore from the land division of Waiahole/Waikane, hence they use "Wai" sometimes as well.
