Source: SPURS-1 temperature, salinity, pressure, and current data submitted via
dropbox by Fred Bingham, University of North Carolina-Wilmington.

Actions: All files submitted by the originator copied in the 0-data directory.
The files Docs.zip, Unprocessed.zip, 14-05_Intercomparison_Report-Instrument_Statistics.zip 
and netCDF.zip were unzipped, copied to the data/0-data/ directory and 
the *.zip files were deleted. Additional actions were performed by NCEI as detailed 
below.

about/
This directory contains files created by NCEI staff, email correspondence,
and other 'negotiable' information between NCEI staff and the data provider.

0125198_EDDF.pdf - 
  Copy of the data producer's Electronic Data Documentation Form (EDDF) file, 
  also available as data/0-data/NCEISubmissionForm.pdf, created by NCEI to ensure 
  that this descriptive metadata file has a standard name and is in a standard 
  directory.

0125198.xml -
  XML metadata for this Archival Information Package (AIP).

0-email.txt - 
  E-mail from originator about submission of SPURS-1 data.

0125198_lonlat.txt - 
  Contains sample locations for these data.  Each row contains the geographical
  position where these data were collected (longitude in the left column and
  latitude in the right column, both in degrees).  NCEI may have corrected 
  geographic positions that seemed to be in error when generating this file.  
  However, NCEI did not change the original data files under the directory 
  data/0-data/.  These coordinates were extracted from the netCDF files in 
  data/0-data/.

removed_files.txt -
   *.doc/docx -
     The files listed were Microsoft Word Documents and were removed 
     because they contain potential Copyrighted materials.
     
   *.exe -
     The files listed in were program source code files included in 
     the original submission for this archival information package. 
     The files were removed from the archival information package
     in accordance with NCEI IT security guidance.

   *.py - 
     The files listed were program source code files included in
     the original submission for this archival information package.
     The files were removed from the archival information package
     in accordance with NCEI IT security guidance.

   *.jpg -
     The files listed were image files and were removed because they 
     potential Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

   *.pdf -
     The files listed were Portable Document Format files (PDF) and were
     removed because they contain potential Copyrighted materials.
   
   *.ppt/pptx - 
     The files listed were Microsoft Word Powerpoint Documents presentations
     and were removed because they contain potential Copyrighted materials

spreadsheet_convert_file.* -
  ASCII text log file of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets converted by NCEI to  
  OpenDocument Spreadsheets (ods) using LibreOffice document converter and 
  copied to the data/1-data/ directory. The source filename is followed by the
  target filename.  

word_doc_convert_file.* -
  ASCII text log file of  Microsoft Word documents converted by NCEI to  
  OpenDocument Text (odt) using LibreOffice document converter and copied 
  to the data/1-data/ directory. The source filename is followed by the target 
  filename.

data/0-data
This directory contains the data files as submitted to NCEI.

data/1-data/
This directory contains files that were converted by NCEI from their
originally submitted format under the 0-data/ directory to an archival
format.

*.odt -
  OpenDocument Text (odt) files that NCEI converted from the Microsoft 
  Word files in /0-data. There is one odt file for each Word file.

*.ods -
  OpenDocument Spreadsheet (ods) files that NCEI converted from the Microsoft
  Spreadsheet files in /0-data. There is one odt file for each Excel file.
