Information about the Davis Data

General Information

• Most of the data consist of temperature profiles only. Temperature and salinity data were collected in the South Atlantic. Only the temperature profiles are available as the salinities have not yet been QC'ed.
• The drift data from these floats should be included in the Float DAC files.
• There are some profiles that do not have a position assigned; instead a "missing value" is indicated.
• Information about the float is available in the pcode variables. These include the following. (See the codes list in the documents section.)
  CSC1 - the name of the originator of the data
