This question came up at the time that the dataset was submitted last year. There was quite a bit of discussion, and Brian looked into it with his colleagues, and it was decided/agreed that given the circumstances, we would not provide the LAT/LON information for each observation. After I send this email, I will reforward that email exchange to you so you can read the reason for excluding that information, and how the discussion evolved. If this was accepted last year, I'm not sure I understand why it would not be accepted in the same format again this year. Let me know if you have any questions once you've had a chance to read through that correspondence. Where were each one of these measurements taken within the reserve? Do you have this information? If you submitted it already and I overlooked it, I apologize. The coordinates are the same as the previous accession, it's the extent of the reserve. That way this newer one will basically take its place. That being said, I do need the lonlat coordinates associated with this data to get any further in the process. The only difference between the two is the latest submission has data from the most recent survey effort, which I believe was in 2016. Other than that, they should be exactly the same though we should wait for Annette to chime in as she's a little more familiar with the data. It probably should have been rejected but I had already accessioned it by the time I read your email. I'll speak with Brian about it tomorrow and get back to you. We will figure out what to do with it. Thanks for the heads up! On a related note, I sent an email last night regarding this dataset. Basically, the data that was submitted is a comprehensive package and overlaps with accession 146683. Not sure how you wanted to handle that, whether it's to reject this submission package and re-submit the new data or completely replace the existing accession. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Zachary Mason - NOAA Affiliate Date: Wed, Aug 16, 2017 at 7:08 AM Subject: 0165015 LonLats To: Troy Kanemura - NOAA Affiliate Hi Troy, Are there lonlat data for accession 0165015? I don't see it in the data file. Would you mind submitting it via email? Thanks, -- Zachary Mason 301-713-4862 Data and Information Management Specialist
