Upon completion of the science activities the vessel shall return to Seattle, Washington, on 3 September 2005. The main scientific research objective is to test in-situ sensors for monitoring the chemistry of hydrothermal experimental calibration and applications Science activities planned include Instrument testing, deployment and recovery. In-situ chemical measurements in diffuse and focused flow hydrothermal fluids, water and sulfide sampling is also planned. A nighttime program consisting of CTD casts, tow-yows, gravity and box coring. The operations area will be the North East Pacific Ocean in the vicinity of 47o56'N, 129o06'W Scientific marine research within the exclusive economic zone of Canada is pending.
