Source: These data were transferred via FTP by Dr. Curt Storlazzi of the 
USGS Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center to NCEI Hawaii liaison, Pat Caldwell.

Actions: Data copied into directory 0-data/.  Export CSV text copies of
sheets within Microsoft Excel worksheet to 1-data/.  Export header/attributes
from NetCDF files into text files at 1-data/.

Files:
about/
This directory contains files created by NCEI staff, email correspondence,
and other 'negotiable' information between NCEI staff and the data provider.

0138581_lonlat.txt - 
  Contains sample locations for these data.  Each row contains the geographical
  position where these data were collected (longitude in the left column and
  latitude in the right column, both in degrees).  NCEI may have corrected 
  geographic positions that seemed to be in error when generating this file.  
  However, NCEI did not change the original data files under the directory 
  data/0-data/.

  Sample location map for these data.

0-email.txt - 
  E-mail from personnel notifying NCEI that they sent their data to the NCEI.

ISO_19115_2_metadata.xml - 
  ISO_19115_2 metadata record for these data.

simple_metadata.txt - 
  Summary information about the accession

data/0-data/
This directory contains the data files as submitted to NCEI.

data/1-data/
This directory contains files that were converted by NCEI from their
originally submitted format under the 0-data/ directory to an archival
format.

*.csv -
  Comma-separated-value (CSV) files that NCEI converted from the 
  Microsoft Excel file in data/0-data/. For multi-spreadsheet 
  Excel files, the sheet name is appended to the file rootname, 
  separated by an underscore (_).

*.txt - 
  These files are a text dump of the header/attribute information
  of each Netcdf file.
