This directory contains files created by NODC staff, e-mail correspondence,
and other 'negotiable' information between NODC staff and the data provider.

0117376_lonlat.txt - Contains the sample location for these data. This is the
geographical position where these data were collected (longitude in the left
column and latitude in the right column, both in degrees). NODC may have
corrected geographic positions that seems to be in error when generating this
file. However, NODC did not change the original data files under the directory
data/0-data/.

0117376_map.jpg - Sample location map for these data.

0-email.txt - E-mail from NODC personnel notifying NODC that they were
submitting data on the behalf of Lei Hu from Dauphin Island Sea Lab.

1-email.txt - E-mail from NODC personnel notifying data submitter that there
was a problem with middlebay_hyd_2010.txt and the response from the data
submitter to NODC with the new, correct version of middlebay_hyd_2010.txt.

This directory contains the data files as submitted to NODC.

Dauphin Island Sea Lab developed a range checking program. Data that fail the
range check are flagged 2 (questionable/suspect), data that pass the range
check are flagged 3 (good). For time periods where communications were
interrupted or sensors failed, data were not written to the data base. If a
data string had one or more parameters missing, the missing data are flagged
-9.

metadata.xml - Contains FGDC metadata about the hydrographic and
meteorological data (*hyd* and *met*) submitted.

metadata_wave_current.xml - Contains FGDC metadata about the wave and current
data (*wave_current*) submitted.

*hyd*.txt - Contain hydrographic and biological data from Middle Bay station
in 30 minute intervals. The first column, tabid, is for Dauphin Island Sea Lab
internal use and has no effect on the data. Dates are in Julian days.

middlebay_hyd_2005.txt - Contains hyrdrographic and biological data from
Middle Bay station from 5/23/2005 - 12/22/2005.

middlebay_hyd_2006.txt - Contains hydrographic and biological data from Middle
Bay station from 1/3/2006 - 12/31/2006.

Bay station from 1/1/2007 - 12/31/2007.

middlebay_hyd_2008.txt - Contains hydrographic and biological data from Middle
