Dear NOAA Data Officer,

In October of 2002 we were assigned a NODC Project Code 0440 to;

"MMS/Cooperative Research on Sperm Whales and Their Response
 to Seismic Exploration in the Gulf of Mexico".

The physical oceanographic data from this multi-year project are ready
to be submitted to NODC.  I have created a compressed tar file of these
data and have posted them to a website for your convenient access.
(See the URL at the bottom of this page).

Please download these data and see if you have any difficulty opening
this archive and reading the contents. Please inspect these files and
let me know if you would like me to do anything differently or provide
any additional information. All the files should be ascii files. They
are arranged by cruise and by data type.

In 2002 we negotiated an archiving agreement with NODC for this
project per our contract requirements with the Minerals Management
Service (our sponsors) for this project. If you are able to locate
this agreement - we will be needing a signed document from NODC
verifying that we have archived our data with NODC. If you cannot
find a copy of this document at NODC - we can produce the original
on our end. Please let me know if we need to locate the original.
