Source: Tar files were downloaded from
http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/tao/data_deliv/deliv.html on 17 October 2011 by Ricardo
Locarnini.  All subsurface temperature, salinity, surface meteorology, and buoy
position data are downloaded as individual tar files for each ocean basin.

Actions: The tar files were copied to the 0-data directory.  The data files
are obtained from the downloaded tar files (tar -xvf), generating the t*ascii,
s*ascii, met*ascii, and pos*ascii for each moored buoy.

Version 2.2: 2013-06-18
Acquired updated data from the same source on 2012-01-04, and copied them to
0-data. (Ricardo Locarnini)

This directory contains files created by NODC staff, email correspondence,
and other 'negotiable' information between NODC staff and the data provider.

0078936_lonlat.txt - Contains sample locations for these data.  Each row
                     contains the geographical position where these data were
                     collected (longitude in the left column and latitude in
                     the right column, both in degrees).  NODC may have
                     corrected geographic positions that seemed to be in error
                     when generating this file.  However, NODC did not change
                     the original data files under the directory data/0-data/.
