Source: These data were submitted from NOAA Coastal Services Center by
Erik Hund in June 2012. 

Actions: S. Phillips of NODC downloaded .tar.gz files with associated
checksum and data documentation files from the NOAA Coastal Services
Center (CSC) outgoing directory for Brunswick, Kings Bay, and the 
Savannah region of Georgia and the Savannah River. 

These data are orthorectified image data (IR and RGB) of coastal Georgia
regions with included Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)
metadata, readme files, and a checksum (.sha1) files. The Savannah
River files are IR only.

The files were untarred to the 0-data/ subdirectories for each region 
for this accession. 

NODC verified that no data were lost in transmission by recalculating
and comparing the sha1 crytographic checksums from CSC with those
generated by NODC. The original .tar.gz file and .sha1 files were
discarded after the unpacking and validation processes were completed.
Artifact GIS pyramid (.ovr) files were also removed for final 
data archival.

This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0092435_lonlat.txt - Contains sample locations for these data.  Each row
                     contains the geographical position where these data were
                     collected (longitude in the left column and latitude in
                     the right column, both in degrees).  NODC may have
                     corrected geographic positions that seemed to be in error
                     when generating this file.  However, NODC did not change
                     the original data files under the directory data/0-data/.

0-email.txt - Email from data producer (CSC) requesting that these
data should be archived at NODC.
