Source: Original data was collected as part of the response to the MC252
         Deepwater Horizon oil spill event.  The data was provided to the
         Subsurface Monitoring Unit (SMU) in accordance with documentation
         provided by the SMU in "Guidance for Shipboard Data Management
         Coordinator".

Actions: The original data were copied into the data/0-data/ directory.

This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0083634_lonlat.txt - Contains sample locations for these data.  Each row 
		     contains the geographical position where these data were
		     collected (longitude in the left column and latitude in 
		     the right column, both in degrees).  NODC may have 
		     corrected geographic positions that seemed to be in 
		     error when generating this file. However, NODC did not 
		     change the original data files under the directory 
		     data/0-data/.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the data files as submitted to NOAA by various ships
in accordance with SMU Guidance.  Various levels of compliance with SMU
guidance were achieved, with increased compliance over time.  There is 
little or no precise documentation as to shipboard processing steps.
