This directory contains three versions of the same directory:
underway (copied straight from the ship)
underway postprocessing: Two examples of postprocessing the above "underway" directory, cleaned up for submission to Joint Archive for Shipboard ADCP for public use.
instructions to post-process an at-sea UHDAS directory (text file and directory). The end product is a final dataset suitable for submission to NODC. This example is perhaps easier to understand and results in a larger processing directory.
matlab program for whole cruise plot of heading correction (plot_hcorrstats_all.m)
matlab program for whole cruise summary statistics of heading correction (print_hcorrstats_all.m)
batch (generated from original raw data — all the steps)
(batch_setup.txt) for rbin and gbin generation
(batch.txt) for averaging etc: single-ping processing from scratch
As of March 2006, a new scheme was implemented to try to cope better with flaky Ashtech (or other heading correction) data for at-sea UHDAS processing. All processing in the above directories is BEFORE this change. To see the effect of the change,
compare the cal/rotate directories in batch and batch_persistence
specifically, compare the "*ens_hcorr.asc" files:
ens_hcorr.asc without persistence
ens_hcorr.asc with persistence
Note
|
The change only affects databases created with the "—ping_headcorr" option chosen. For these two directories processed in batch mode, with "—post_headcorr" chosen, only the cal/rotate/ens_hcorr.asc and cal/rotate/ens_hcorr.asc files are affected. |
