-------- Original Message -------- Subject: TOPP eseal temperature sensors Date: Mon, 17 Oct 2011 11:51:32 -0700 From: Patrick Robinson To: Jonathan Blythe Hi Jonathan, I mentioned previously I would contact Wildlife Computers (our instrument manufacturer) regarding the exact model of the temperature sensor used in the tags. In short, there is no measurable drift and all of their tags use the same sensor. Below is their reply. Cheers, Patrick ------------------------------------------------------- Hi Patrick, We currently use (and have for quite some time) the same Betatherm external temperature sensor in the Mk9 and Mk10 tags. There is no drift, although the reaction time can be affected by how much of the sensor is exposed vs buried in the epoxy.
