The main scientific research objective is to: 1) recover the bottom section of the CLIMODE surface mooring in the vicinity of the Gulf  Stream at 38.5°N, 65°W and 2) recover a surface mooring near the  Martha's Vineyard Coastal Observatory. 


The planned activity is mooring recoveries. The operations area will be in the vicinity of the Gulf Stream at 38.5°N, 65°W and off of the south  coast of Martha's Vineyard in the vicinity of 41° 19' 42.44"N, 70° 33'  21.76"W.
