Equipment/Nav: Trawl winch w/ 9/16" wire for multicorer Hydro winch w/1/4" hydrowire for gravity coring Power for coring van Other Requirements: Notes: 1) Coring van should be on fantail level 2) chemicals used: 4% buffered formalin sol'n 3) Request Hydrowinch speed: pay out at 100 - 125 m/min req'd for gravity coring. Typical gravity core pull out tensions at 4500 meters - approx 2500 lbs. Weight of gravity core can be varied to work within SWL of wire. 4) Niskin bottles - 20 each - 1.2 liter bottles will do.
