Source: Data collected by current-and-pressure-recording inverted echo sounders 
	(CPIES) as part of the Kuroshio Extension System Study (KESS), submitted 
	by Karen Tracey, Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode 
	Island, to NODC via FTP in the file KESS_CPIES.tar.

Actions: NODC personnel uncompressed the submitted tar file under the directory
         data/0-data/ and then removed the tar file.

This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0073269_lonlat.txt - Contains sample locations for these data.  Each row
                     contains the geographical position where these data were
                     collected (longitude in the left column and latitude in 
		     the right column, both in degrees).  NODC may have 
		     corrected geographic positions that seemed to be in error
		     when generating this file.  However, NODC did not change 
		     the original data files under the directory data/0-data/.

0073269_map.jpg - Sample location map for these data.

0-email.txt - E-mail from personnel from University of Rhode Island notifying 
	      NODC that they uploaded their data to the NODC FTP server.

1-email.txt - E-mail from NODC to Karen Tracey confirming receipt of data
              and providing the NODC accession number assigned to the
	      submission.

This directory contains the data files as submitted to NODC.
