a. This package contains the following files:

1. SSTClimatologyGOM_GRD.mxd is the ArcGIS mxd file for 25 climatology layers in ArcGIS GRID format with actual values and built-in legend;

2. SSTClimatologyGOM_PNG.mxd is the ArcGIS mxd file for 25 Climatology layers in PNG format without actual values. The legends for the PNG layers are stored in "About" folder;

3. "About" folder contains the full metadata  for the 25 plates in .txt and .xml format, AND High resolution legends for all the plates in .tif format;

4. "SSTAtlasGRD" folder contains the 25 SST climatology layers in ArcGIS GRID format;

5. "SSTAtlasPNG" folder contains the 25 SST climatology layers in PNG format;

6. There are six documents of the short descriptions for the plates. They are located under the "About" folder.

d. More information for the GRD layer values:

Temperature: Degree Celsius
Observation: The number of observations is based on 5-day pathfinder data, so the value range is between 0 to 19 for one season. 
Standard Deviation: There is no unit for standard deviation.
