Source: Greg Rocheleau of Makai Ocean Engineering, Inc. submitted these
	Currents, temperature, and salinity data recorded continuously from 
	May to December 2010 from the surface to 1000m at a coastal location 
	near the 1600m isobath off SW Oahu via ftp through NODC liaison Pat 
	Caldwell.

Actions: NODC copied the file "curr_T_S_navy.tar.gz" from pub/incoming/liaison
	 and uncompressed the files under the directory data/0-data/ and then 
	 removed the zipped file from the accession.

This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0072305_lonlat.txt - Contains sample locations for these data.  Each row
                     contains the geographical position where these data were
                     collected (longitude in the left column and latitude in
		     the right column, both in degrees). NODC may have
                     corrected geographic positions that seemed to be in error
                     when generating this file.  However, NODC did not change
                     the original data files under the directory data/0-data/.

0-email.txt - E-mail from data provider, Greg Rocheleau, requesting NODC to
	      archive the data.

FGDCmetadata.xml - Federal Geospatial Data Committee metadata documentation 
		   provided by NODC for this data set.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the data files as submitted to NODC. The unprocessed raw 
ASCII files have self explanatory headers. The data are clean and do not require 
any filtering or de-spiking. The same data are also available as a Matlab file 
(67MB), which has had minimal processing other than interpolating short time gaps.
