Erosion Study Data Report for Observations October 2003 . April 2004 USGS
Open-File Report 2005-1429 was sent to NODC Liaison Scott Mowery on August 10,
2010 from E. Montgomery, U.S. Geological Survey 384 Woods Hole Rd., Quissett
Campus, Woods Hole, MA 20543-1598.

This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0-email.txt- email from Scott Mowery indicating the data has been placed on the
	NODC ftp server.

0-letter.pdf - Is a scanned copy of the letter mailed with the data report
DVD.

Basic_Sampling_Interval.csv - Metadata for the files in the Basic_Sampling_Interval
			      directory in data/0-data/. Non-ASCII characters
			      represent information that did not transfer over
			      from the NetCDF's binary format.

0066109_lonlat.txt-  file with longitude and latitude coordinates extracted
	from the 0-data NetCDF files. global attributes.  The coordinates were
	extracted using single precision floating point format, though this does
	not accurately reflect the number of significant digits for the 
	coordinates data.

0066109_map.jpg-  An NODC generated map depicting the distribution of the
	coordinates from the 0066109_lonlat.txt file.

DVDlabel.tif- scanned tiff image of the two DVD labels.

data/0-data/
This directory contains files submitted to NODC by liaison Scott Mowery, which
reflect various data and metadata from the USGS Woods Hole Science Center
database.  The HTML files have information about cruises.  Metadata about cruises
and field work are also represented in the .kml files.

Basic_Sampling_Interval- a directory which contains NetCDF files in their
	native sampling frequency.

data/0-data/disc_image/006109_discImage_dvd.iso is an ISO9660 disc image of
                                 the CD-ROM/DVD product archived in this accession. 
                                 The image file was created at NODC using Roxio Easy 
                                 Media Creator 9. This file should be used only to
                                 create an exact replica of the original disc contents 
                                 on similar media.  Data and information on the DVD 
				 should be used for reference purposes only.

disc_contents/Data_Report_Sullivan_et_al_2006/- a directory which contains the images 
				 of two  DVDs distributed by the USGS in an 'as is' 
                                 condition directly from the original product. Open 
                                 the "start.html" file within each DVD's directory
                                 using a web browser to see the DVD contents. The 
				 disc contents may contain data that are preliminary
				 and possibly duplicative of data in the
				 data/0-data/Baisc_Sampling_Interval directory.
