Observations in the Hudson Shelf Valley, December 1999 . April 2000: Data
Report; U.S. Geological Survey Open File Report 02-217 was sent to NODC
Liaison Scott Mowery on August 10, 2010 from E. Montgomery, U.S. Geological
Survey 384 Woods Hole Rd., Quissett Campus, Woods Hole, MA 20543-1598.

This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0-email.txt- email from Scott Mowery indicating the data has been placed on the
	NODC ftp server.

0-letter.pdf- scanned letter from Ellyn Montgomery submitting the data report
		DVD to include with this NODC Accession.

0066009_lonlat.txt- file with longitude and latitude coordinates extracted
	from the 0-data NetCDF files. global attributes.  The coordinates were
	extracted using single precision floating point format, though this does
	not accurately reflect the number of significant digits for the 
	coordinates data.

0066009_map.jpg- An NODC generated map depicting the distribution of the
	coordinates from the 0066009_lonlat.txt file.

Basic_Sampling_Interval.csv - Metadata for the files in the Basic_Sampling_Interval
			      directory in data/0-data/.  Non-ASCII characters
			      represent information that did not transfer over
			      from the NetCDF's binary format. 
 

Hourly_Averaged_Data.csv - Metadata for the files in the Hourly_Averaged_Data
                           directory in data/0-data/.  Non-ASCII characters
			   represent information that did not transfer over
			   from the NetCDF's binary format. 


Low_Passed_Data.csv - Metadata for the files in the Low_Passed_Data directory
		      in data/0-data/

DVDlabel.tif- scanned tiff image of the DVD label.

DVDfrontcover.tif- scanned tiff image of the DVD, jewel case, front cover.

DVDbackcover.tif- scanned tiff image of the DVD, jewel case, back cover.

data/0-data/
This directory contains files submitted to NODC by liaison Scott Mowery, which
reflect various data and metadata from the USGS Woods Hole Science Center
database.  The .pdf files are cruse reports.  Metadata about relevant cruises
and field work are also represented in the .kml, .jpg, .png, and .gif files.

Basic_Sampling_Interval- a directory which contains NetCDF files in their
	native sampling frequency.

Hourly_Averaged_Data- a directory that contains NetCDF files with data
	subsampled and averaged at hourly intervals.

Low_Passed_Data- a directory that contains NetCDF files with data subsampled
	and averaged at greater than hourly intervals.

disc_contents/Data_Report_Butman_et_al_2003- a directory that contains the 
                                             contents of the data report in an
                                             'as is' condition directly from th 
                                             original product.  Disc contents
					     include data that are preliminary
					     versions of data from this study.
					     Therefore, the data and
					     information in the disc contents
					     should be used for reference only.

disc_image/006009_discImage_dvd.iso is an ISO9660 disc image of the CD-ROM/DVD 
			product archived in this accession. The image file was
			created at NODC using Roxio Easy Media Creator 9. This 
			file should be used only to create an exact replica of 
			the original disc contents on similar media.  The DVD
			contains data that are preliminary.  The DVD should be
			used for reference purposes only.
