Source: The NOAA/NODC National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC)
        assembled these data collected during the "Operation Deep Scope 2005"
        expedition, which the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research 
        sponsored, and submitted them on DVD to the NOAA/NODC Marine Data 
        Stewardship Division (MDSD) for archiving.

Files:

about/
This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0054831_lonlat.txt - Station locations for these data.  Each row contains the
                     geographical position for a station (longitude in the
                     left column and latitude in the right column, both in
                     degrees).

0054831_map.jpg - Station location map for these data.

0-email.txt - E-mail from NCDDC notifying MDSD that they had sent the data
              on DVD.

about/metadata/
This directory contains FGDC standard metadata records created by NCDDC in
XML format.
 
data/0-data/
This directory contains the data and information files as submitted to MDSD.

data/0-data/documents/
This directory contains documents that describe the data and the "Operation
Deep Scope 2005" expedition.

data/0-data/submersible/
This directory contains all the data and information files that were collected
aboard the submersible Johnson Sea-Link I Dive, and includes CTD data, 
navigational data, and dive summaries.

Note - The directory data/0-data/submersible/submersible_NAV contains the Microsoft
       Database files 1-4846_raw.mdb and 1-4846_trk.mdb. These files will not open 
       due to being linked to .DB that do not appear to be included in this accession.  


data/0-data/vessel/
This directory contains all the data and information files that were collected
aboard the vessel SEWARD JOHNSON. 

data/1-data/
This directory contains the data and information files that NODC converted 
from their originally submitted format to an archival format that NODC can
better preserve.

*.pdf - PDF/A files that NODC converted from Microsoft Excel and Word files.
