It did rain several times, the sensor was not working and will be changed out at the conclusion of this cruise. The voltages of the underway fluorometer were suspect. The fluorometer tube was cleaned May 12, 2001, and the voltages returned to normal. The athena data was converted into 'column' or 'matlab compatible' files (*.dat). The original and the converted files are both located in /athena/asciilog. The header information for the columnized data is located in columnhdr. NARROW BAND ADCP (150ADCP) The ASHTEC was not working during the cruise. The pingdata files are located in /adcp. The generic adcp248 configuration was used, and was copied to /adcp/adcp248. CTD The transmissometer started acting up at station 13, after trying it out on deck and finding it working, performed one more cast. The transmissometer read very wierd numbers so unplugged and dummied off for future casts. The seacable ground and power cable were changed out for good measure. During cast 16, both conductivity sensors diplayed a step like behaviour below 400 meters. After the cast the sea cable was ohmed out and found to have an high resistance. The ground on the slip ring end of the seacable was found to be corroded. The termination end was respliced and the slip ring ground was redone. The seacable was re-ohmed and the resistance was found to be normal for the legnth. The transmissometer was plugged back in for station 21, however the data was still bizarre, it was again unplugged for station 22.
