Oceanus Data Disk Directory information

Disk Information 	This file.

"Cruise_ID" file	A text file containing the ship, voyage and cruise designator for the data contained on this disk  (i.e. OC7-15  => Cruise 15 of the 7th Oceanus voyage).

Docs directory	A directory containing documentation pertaining to the file formats in use on this disk.

Scripts directory	Utilities useful for manipulating the various data files.

\Athena	Primary directory for Oceanus "underway" data.
\Athena90	Data in a format used by the original DOS version of Athena.
\ADCP	Oceanus RDI 150 kHz  ADCP data files.
\Knudsen	Knudsen 12 kHz and 3.5 kHz chirp sonar bathymetry data.
\CTD	SeaBird 911+ CTD data.	
\Magnet	Surface towed magnetometer data files.
\Gravity	Bell gravimeter data files.
\XBT	Sippican XBT data files.
\Images	TerraScan image files.
\Pictures	Directory containing image files provided by the science party.

Copies of DiskInfo, Cruise_ID, \Docs and \Scripts are contained on all cruise disks.  The remaining subdirectories are placed on the cruise disks as space permits (i.e. the XBT data subdirectory is likely to be located on the last disk of the cruise set).
If a particular directory is missing, it indicates that no data of that type was collected     during the cruise.  Additional directories may be added for storing data from special instrumentation.
