(1) 20 ft Cold Storage Van up on 01 deck 7ft X 19ft Mud Tank 500 gallon fuel tank to be refilled by ship. 24hr operation will use 400 gallons fuel per day 32 pallets of drilling mud, 50 lb bags, 80,000 lbs total, outside storage okay Need a better source of water than the fire hose, which did not work very effectively (low flow rate) on the November test. A diesel powered Centrifugal Water pump will be provided by Science to supply salt water to mud system Need a diesel fuel line from your fuel tank for 500 gallon fuel tank - locate fuel tank on 01 Deck Notes: Mobilization to begin on 9/22/02 w/ POS-MV Installation. POS-MV Antennae to be installed top of Aft Hanger and then precisely "surveyed in" which may take up to 3-days. Tolerance for positioning with riser in ground 3 % of water depth (min of 60 meters expected) Night work is anticipated on this cruise Concerns: Deck Loading - Stability and deck hold down (9500 lbs drill rig) Station Keeping - GPS, DP mode - very important 3% is not very large area in shallow water. Safety - Considerations when connected to sea floor. No manuverability POSMV has three components to be installed - Electronics in the ADCP rack, Antenna on top of Hanger on WHOI fabricated mast and Inertial Manuvering Unit (IMU) to be mounted with Hippy. Cable run between all units. 3 days to Survey POSMV into ship while working around other loading operations. Other ships equipment can be surveyed in at this time such as the Ashtech units, etc. Robertson Representative will be needed to calibrate ship DP system. 8 hours of testing away from pier requested. Drill pipe has weak link for safety if ship has to move off site in an emergency Navigation Sensors to be set up in Top Lab. Boat Transfer of personnel planned. Delaware Bay Launch Services operates a 74 ft crew boat and may be contracted by Dosecc to handle the transfer. Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection on file.
