Information on CTD raw data observed by R/V MIRAI
(Cruise number : MR99-K05)

1. Preface
----------
CTD(Conductivity-Temperature-Depth profiler) is used to observe
the vertical profiles of temperature and conductivity.
Usually, this system is operated with multicylinder water sampler.
Observed signal is transmitted from sensor to the operation room on
board using wire cable, and electric power is supplied from vessel
to sensor.
Details of sensors attached to CTD system for MR99-K05 cruise are
presented in section 3.
The following software, developed and supplied by the Sea-Bird
Electronics, Inc., was used in MR99-K05.
  SEASAVE(ver 4.236) for data acquisition
  SEASOFT(ver 4.236) for data processing
Data presented on this website is averaged over 1m.

4. Notes
--------
(1) Observation is performed with CTD/RMS system presented section 3.
Observed data by each system and used sensors is stored in the data file,
its filename is presented in the following table.
      applied files list
(2) D.O. sensor was not attached to the file named 'Dp1_070b.cnv'.
So numerics presented in D.O. column have no meaning.
(3) Data are averaged over 1m. Only for the file named and 'DP1_80B.CNV',
    data is averaged over 1dbar.
(4) Data processing sequence for SEASOFT as follows;
      command procedure list
        --------------------------------------------------------------------
        command function
