The main scientific research objective is to service and recover/deploy wellhead (and in one case seafloor) instrumentation at seven "CORK" instrumented boreholes. Science activities planned include Alvin dives, CTD casts, ARGOS float deployments and elevator operations. The operations area will be the North East Pacific Ocean in the vicinity of 48°N, 128°W. Scientific marine research within the exclusive economic zone of Canada is pending.
