MS Word document files were printed to data/1-data/ as PDF/A-1b 2005
(RGB) files to facilitate long-term access.

Metadata files compiled by Patrick Caldwell were included in the
original "tar" file. These files were copied to
about/NODC_compiled_metadata/. NODC staff created a location plot file
in about/0001756_map.jpg based on information in the originator reports.
