readme.txt - Abstract

File format:  These data were manually entered into a MS Excel spreadsheet 
by NODC personnel and /or contractors from the original source.  The MS Excel 
spreadsheet was subsequently saved as the .xls file and as a comma-delimited 
ascii text in the .csv files.  The .xls file appears in the data direcory
with the name Mumm_1998.xls.  Three ascii text csv file were then created
from it.  They are called Mumm_1998Od.csv, Mumm_1998P.csv, and
Mumm_1998Va.csv, one each for the three separate ships used.
 


The original data should remain in the archives until it can be processed and merged.
