Files:

about/
This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

AAAAAAA_lonlat.txt - Buoy locations for these data.  Each row contains the
                     geographical position for a buoy (longitude in the left
                     column and latitude in the right column, both in degrees).
                     Note: AAAAAAA in the file name indicates the NODC
                     Accession Number.

AAAAAAA_map.jpg - Buoy location map for these data.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the following files as submitted to NODC (note: * is a
wildcard used to indicate multiple file names):

*.nc - Data files in netCDF format.  There is one such file for each instrument
       or suite of similar instruments attached to a buoy.  Information about
       netCDF files and software to access them can be obtained from Unidata.
       NCDDC generated these files by extracting data from netCDF files on a
       GoMOOS server.  NCDDC extracted data that GoMOOS collected the previous
       week.

*.xml - FGDC-standard metadata files in XML format.  There is one such file for
        each buoy.  With assistance from GoMOOS, NCDDC developed the metadata
        in these files.

data/1-data/
This directory contains files that were converted by NODC from their
originally submitted format in the 0-data/ directory to an archival format.

*.txt - NODC created these plain ASCII/text files from the netCDF-formatted
        data files by using Unidata's ncdump program.
