NOAA Ship OSCAR ELTON SETTE Cruise OS-06-06 08 - 23 May 2006 PSD Camps SCS System Manager: ST Elaine Stuart Phone: (206) 979-8392 email: elaine.stuart@noaa.gov Times and Dates are in UTC. GENERAL Depths are below the transducer and uncalibrated. Sounders are not manned 24hrs a day. ES60 Depths may be output from 12kHz, 38kHz, or 200kHz. No offset table for transducers exists. NO settle and squat table for the ship exists. Fluorometer outputs uncalibrated raw fluorescence. !!!TSG temperatures are in ITS-68!!! PROBLEMATIC SENSORS The Trimble GPS often has outages of several minutes. TSG and Fluorometer systems becomes air contaminated in heavy weather and during maneuvering. This may effect conductivity/salinity and fluorometer measurements. It is highly recommended that temperature, salinity and fluorometer values be plotted to assure data is good before being used. Heavy rain will also effect salinity SETTE's Deck Weather log reflects current conditions. CRUISE SPECIFIC METADATA Cruise Started -------------- SCSACQ started 05/08/2006, 18:57:16z 8May06 20:10:15z ADCP started with deep_nobt. 8May06 20:40:15z TSG seawater supply turned on - leaving Honolulu Harbor. 8May06 20:40:43z Fluorometer started. The Fluorometer was secured on 15May06 20:09:48z upon reaching Midway Island to prevent contamination. The Fluorometer was cleaned on 22May06 23:35:28z. Cruise Ended ------------- 23May06 08:48Z Shut off TSG supply to prevent contamination. Entering Pearl Harbor. 23May06 22:13Z stopped ADCP. 23May06 22:20:37Z, SCSACQ Stopped
