Modem Account Configuration

The IRIX operating system controls all dial-out modem functions through the configuration file /etc/uucp/Systems. This file contains the phone numbers and speeds for dialing remote sites, and it also contains a chat script to handle the login process. The chat script contains a series of expect/send phrases. This form creates a line in the Systems configuration file with a default format. Note: You might need to edit the Systems file directly if the login process on the remote host is not standard.

Enter the connection name; do not use spaces or punctuation characters in your entry (only the first eight letters of the connection name are used). After your entry, click the Add New Account button to display the Modem Account Configuration form. When you complete this form, click Ok to put the changes in effect.
