A Software Distribution Directory is a directory that contains one or more software products that can be installed using Inst(1M) or SoftwareManager(1M).

A Web Software Distribution is an HTML document from which users can choose and install software products. It presents a list of toggle buttons, each corresponding to a product in the inst distribution directory. The user can check products in this list and initiate a network installation of the software in the distribution.
