Dr. Pankajakshan,Scientist 'C', works as Senior Research Fellow in Data & Information Centre of National Institute of Oceanography,Dona Paula.
Since his recruitment in Feb 1985, he has been working in the field of oceanographic data / information management with special reference to physical oceonography. He has the credit of publishing ten research articles in reputed journals on different topics like coastal oceanography, surface heat fluxes, heat budget and quality control of physical oceanographic data.
Besides these, reports / atlases on XBT / MBT data inventories are also published by him.
He was awarded Ph.D. degree, for his studies in "Surfaces heat fluxes from satellite observations : A case study in the north-west Pacific" by Tokai University,Japan in 1995.
