Evidence of leadership in the capacity of project leader and experience in clinical pharmacology will be preferred .

Job requirement : The selected candidate will be responsible among others for one or more of the following functions - lead research in Drug Development , planning and operating research projects and schemes , and to lead the team of interdisciplinary nature .

Desirable : Having 2-3 years experience in the field of clinical protocol designing and safety evaluation of drugs .

Essential Qualifications :I st class M.Sc (pharmacology ) / Ist class M.V.Sc (pharmacology )/ Ist class M.Pharm (pharmacology ) with not less than 65% marks having 4 yrs research experience in pharmacology OR Ph.D (pharmacology ) with one year research experience in the line . The candidate should possess evidence of published work and provide evidence of leadership and ability to guide a team of research workers .

Job requirement : To plan , execute and guide work on drug development with particular emphasis on pharmacological investigations on drugs of plant origin and also to develop interesting leads up to the level of clinical trails .

AGE : Not exceeding 35 years as on 10.9.1998 .

3. SCIENTIST 'C' ( Biopharmaceutics & pharmacokinetics ) Group IV(2) One Post

Essential Qualifications :I st class M.Pharm (pharmacology / pharmaceutical sciences ) having not less than 65% marks with 4 years research experience OR Ph.D(Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sciences ) with one year research experience in Biopharmaceutics .Pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism using tracer techniques with substantial published work in the area .

Job requirement : To plan , execute and guide work in the field of biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics , immuno-enzyme , assay/radioimmunoassay, drug metabolism and receptor studies .

AGE : Not exceeding 35 years as on 10.3.1998

All the above posts carry usual allowances as admissible under the Central Government Rules as applicable to the CSIR . Higher initial pay may be given to the deserving candidates .

Application duly completed (supported by attested copies of educational qualifications and testimonials) along with non refundable fee of Rs. 25/- only (no application fee is prescribed for SC/ST/Physically handicapped candidates) in the form of crossed Indian postal order drawn in favour of the DIRECTOR, REGIONAL RESEARCH LABORATORY, JAMMU TAWI should reach the CONTROLLER OF ADMINISTRATION, REGIONAL RESEARCH LABORATORY, CANAL ROAD, JAMMU TAWI- 180001 on OR before 10.09.1998. The application after this date will not be considered.

The applicant called for interview will be paid single second class rail fare to and fro from the actual place of travel or residence as mentioned in the application which ever is nearer to Jammu Railway Station.

Research experience should preferably be supported by publications in referred journals.

THE LABORATORY HAS A SYSTEM OF PERIODICAL ASSESSMENT PROMOTIONS.
