A few speed spikes appear toward the end of this record.  These
appear to be instrument errors. CMDAC has prepared an alternate
file in which 7 spikes during June, July, and August 1991 have
been removed by linear interpolation. They are at lines 8494, 8786,
8820, 8892, 9010, 9305, and 9576.  Both versions of the record are
available at this site.
